Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Advanced Stopwatch mobile application and website operated by Adam Bulmer. In these Terms, "Advanced Stopwatch", "the Service", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the app, website, and related product materials.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Service.

Advanced Stopwatch helps you time repeatable activities, compare runs against saved benchmarks, capture laps, review run history, and decide which completed results to keep.

The Service is provided as a productivity and training companion. It is not a safety-critical timing system, medical device, clinical tool, professional coaching service, or emergency service.

You are responsible for how you use Advanced Stopwatch and for making sure your timed activities are appropriate for your health, equipment, environment, and ability.

You agree not to use the Service:

• in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations;
• to harm, harass, or infringe the rights of another person;
• to attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or misuse the Service;
• as the sole source of truth for high-risk timing, safety, medical, legal, financial, or emergency decisions.

You may create benchmark profiles, profile names, run history, lap records, benchmark changes, exports, and other content while using the Service. You are responsible for the content you create and for keeping your own records where they matter.

You retain your rights to content you enter into the app. We do not claim ownership of your benchmark profiles, run history, or exported data.

Advanced Stopwatch does not integrate with Apple Health. The Service does not read or write heart-rate samples, active energy, workouts, or any other Health data.

Timing results and benchmark comparisons shown in the Service are informational only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a qualified professional. Do not ignore, delay, or replace professional advice because of information shown in Advanced Stopwatch.

If you download Advanced Stopwatch through the App Store, your use of the app is also subject to Apple's applicable terms, including the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a different license is provided.

The Service may interact with third-party platforms, operating system features, device sensors, App Store services, Live Activities, notifications, Siri Shortcuts, or links to external websites. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, accuracy, security, or terms.

The Service, including its design, features, text, graphics, product names, code, and other original materials, is owned by Adam Bulmer or licensed to Adam Bulmer and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. You receive only the limited right to use the Service for your personal or permitted purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable App Store terms.

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also fix bugs, change features, update compatibility, or modify content without prior notice.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or free from errors.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and availability.

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. Timing results, benchmark comparisons, lap calculations, notifications, Live Activities, and exported files may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adam Bulmer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, use, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

You agree to indemnify and hold Adam Bulmer harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any part of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.

By continuing to access or use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the Service.
